I study BA Animation and am going into my final year. Earlier this year, while scrolling through social media, I came across multiple posts talking about how hard the industry is to break into, people giving up their animation career as well as feeling like they can't fully express their creativity while finding work within the field. Racing thoughts were bouncing off the walls inside my head. I was feeling so much sadness for the people who are in the field struggling contemplating whether to give up their passion, I was thinking about myself and whether I made the wrong decision pursuing an artistic degree. 

 

Other video platforms are hard to grab exposure from due to the vast amount of videos they contain and you don’t earn any money unless you're part of the creator programme. It is incredibly difficult to create your own series or film due to lack of funding and support. 

 

This is where Andromedea comes into play. I made this platform for animators to showcase their work freely, while also building community. You're able to watch other people alike and admire their work while being inspired. Collab with a creator who you enjoy watching and build connections. Find your place within this field and make it known.
